I saw this on the FP and it got my mullet in a tingle!
If GM is planning to do the greatest thing imaginable and re-release the 3rd Gen with a modern drive train (LT1/6 spd) I will put my money where my mullet is and go lay down a deposit immediately. And I’ll so whatever it takes to afford it, even if it means taking out a 3rd equity loan on my trailer.

I will almost guarantee that they are testing GM Performance Parts aftermarket stuff.

Yeah I would buy the shit out of that. Imagine the old school looks and new magneride suspension combined!

Id actually love the DSSV suspension out of the 5th Gen Z/28, and the electronic torque vectoring rear out of the 6th Gen 1LE car. And wasnt there some talk about a high revving 6.6L V8 for the canceled 6th Gen Z/28?
This is the Camaro the people want!

Is the 5th gen the one that came out around 2013-14? That’s my all time favorite camaro of the new ones, the all black Z28 track car. Saw it at Pocono raceway and it was mean.
I love the looks of the one above tho, such a good style. In the tv show The Americans he buys a white one brand new and that thing made me jones for one

Yeah, you’re thinking of 5th gen. I think they actually came out around 2011, but the Z/28 was a few years later. I like those, too, but they are a bit in the big side for me. The 6th Gen came out in 2016 and looks pretty similar but it moved down to the Alpha platform, so its like 90% of the size of the 5th.
I haven't seen The Americans, but 3rd Gens are my weakness.
